Anxiety & Stress Relief
I help people learn to tame their anxiety and change harmful patterns that are keeping them stuck. Anxiety comes in many forms: worry, panic, fear, repetitive thoughts, social anxiety, and perfectionism. Some anxiety is natural. It’s an evolutionary survival response meant to keep us safe from danger. It crosses the line into problematic territory when we become so entrenched in the fight/flight response that it’s continually ignited even when there is no danger. Our nervous system becomes taxed and we tumble into a cycle of physical ailments as well as behavioral and thought-based struggles.
I work with clients using a hybrid approach of traditional talk therapy and somatic (body-based) modalities to help rewire the mind-body connection, working toward alleviating symptoms and creating healthier strategies to deal with stress.
